sooo.. I applied to the ph.d. social psych program. I havent been told that I am waitlisted, but I am assuming because I haven't heard either way. the director said she would go through the files and get back to me "this weekend" which was a few days ago and I received no response. I had to write her again today because I need to know soon so I can apply to master's programs before their deadlines arrive! Has anyone heard anything from this school yet..? accepted or declined? any info would reallllly help!

I emailed the last school I have hope for to get into. The director of the program was at a conference and said she would get me the info today. what does that even mean? Is it good that I haven't heard yet...? or should I be fearing another rejection? It sucks because I need to apply to master's programs but I don't want to pay for all of the applications when I still have slight hope in one ph.d. program. Any thoughts?!

I would not choose NYU. The other school offers more support, financially and academically in your interests. I think it would be better to have professors more knowledgeable in your specific study than you kind of trying to figure it out on your own. Plus, full funding! you don't want to break the bank that first year NYU and then HOPE to get funding.. what if you don't when you had the chance at another school to go for FREEEEEEE?! good luck! at least you got in

It sucks because I emailed the school and they said "we will write to you as soon as a decision comes through!" and I still haven't heard anything! grrrrrr tuesday the 15th will either be fantastic or awful...

I only have one hope left and I am waitlisted! I wish that the person that was offered a spot would hurry up and decide! the anticipation is awful!

I am in the same boat as you! I emailed the grad school at Nevada and they didnt SAY I was waitlisted, just that they are still deciding and would let me know as soon as a decision came through. Its my last hope, so I'm really hoping to hear a verdict either way. I really don't know why the school you applied to isn't getting back to you. No news is good news though, right?

I applied to 5 psychology ph.d programs and I have been rejected to three. I haven't heard anything from the other two schools yet. I am freaking out because I was so sure I would get in. Is it too late to apply to master's programs? I don't know what to do!!
