You should probably contact them. I heard positive news by email on April 16th, and got a snail mail letter about a week letter. Other students in my department heard their news (both positive and negative) around the same time.

Quick question for people who have won before. Does anyone have any advice on routing the money individually, or routing the money through the institution. I know everyone's tax situation is different but I have heard some tax horror stories around my department.

From scanning past years message boards, it seems that people either get a "funding request" email that says their is no need to reapply, or a rejection with their scores and reviews. I have no idea what a funding request email that doesn't mention anything about reapplying signifies.

While its normally on a Monday afternoon, in 2011 it was on a Wednesday (the 6th). So even if it doesn't come today, it may come later in the week. What time do we call it? 5pm ET, since the WG offices are in NYC?

Sorry Elunia, but it sounds like there were some constructive comments to help you for the May deadline. Has anyone else heard?

L&C notifications went out via email at the end of May last year. Applicants got a yes, no, or waiting list. I got put on the waiting list, and then heard that I received the award at the end of July.

Agreed, hopefully this week is the week...for us to find out if we get to endure another waiting session in April....

According to last year's forum it was February 7th (Thursday), so my guess is any day now..

According to grad cafe, in 2011 the list was posted around 1:30. In 2010 it was posted around 12:50....which would be in ten minutes

during, the scheduled maintenance period was 11pm ET to 5am ET...same as this year

last year the site came back with the posted list around 2am ET, then people received their emails a few hours later

One thing to remember about false alarms, there was a fastlane will be down message about a week ago that led to nothing. However, the site never actually went down that night. So, maybe we will log on at 11:05 pm tonight and the site will still be up. Or, the site will go down at 11pm, and then the panic will ensue...

So we have two outages over the next few days: 03/29/12 - FastLane will be unavailable from 11:00 PM ET Thursday March 29th - 5:00 AM ET Friday March 30th for scheduled maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience. 03/28/12 - FastLane will be unavailable from 12:01 AM to 8:00 AM ET Sunday April 1st for scheduled maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience. Does anyone have a handle on the time frame listed for previous year's outages. Last year, after several false alarms, the "moment of the truth" outage was listed as "FastLane will be unavailable from 11:00PM ET Monday, April 4th - 5:00AM ET Tuesday, April 5th for scheduled maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience." So last year it was down from 11pm-5am, and it got released. Tonight, it will be down from 11pm to 5am....

One thing contra the late saturday\early sunday idea would be the fact that in the past 5 years, the notification has always come on a weekday, not the weekend. This might just be actual scheduled maintenance, which I what I will keep telling myself.
