  1. I was deciding between McGill and McMaster and it was a really hard choice. Ultimately, it came down to McGill being closer and a more affordable option for me (Quebec resident). I just declined McMaster this morning so hopefully that opens a spot for you or someone else waiting for good news!
  2. I was just about to say the same for those going to McMaster... haven't heard from anyone on the forum saying they would be accepting an offer there.
  3. I got an offer from McGill and McMaster but a rejection from UofT. I also didn't expect to have a choice and although I am heavily leaning toward McGill, I haven't made a final decision. McMaster seems like a really great program! Too bad there are no former students to talk to about this since it is the first year. Anyway, likely an opening at McMaster in the next few days for those of you waiting! I found this whole process really difficult but I also find it interesting to judge by admission offers what the different schools seem to value.
  4. Not even.. I had no news so I was actually just coming to terms with being rejected. I was VERY surprised to get a call today.
  5. I just got an acceptance call from McGill!!! Don't give up hope!
  6. Congratulations to those receiving responses!!! For those accepted to McGill, was there any mention of the deadline for accepting the offer? Also, does anyone know when we might know whether we made it onto the waitlist?
  7. Hey everyone! I came across this forum when tying to find advice online about volunteering. I am a certified teacher from Montreal who is currently living and working in Tokyo. In September, I am returning to Montreal to take some prerequisite courses at McGill and will be applying to the SLP program for the following year (Fall 2017). I graduated from my undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.7 which I hope is high enough to be considered (?). My main concern (which I am actually losing sleep over) is the volunteering hours. I have been shamelessly emailing places in the hope of securing something for the fall but to no avail. It seems nearly impossible to find an SLP who is looking for a volunteer or a shadow... I have also tried hospitals and care facilities but they mostly want volunteers for cafeterias, bingo nights, etc. Any advice, help or contacts would be GREATLY appreciated!
