Hello everyone,
I just found this post. I applied to EMMIR and the Erasmus Mundus scholarship. For now, I'm on the reserve list too. Has anyone tried asking how many people were above them or try to get any stats?
Seems like we'll likely have to wait a few more weeks... to me the past 2 weeks have felt longer than the past 5 months!

I know this isn't techinically a waitlist post... but has anyone heard from East Tennessee state experimental program? I've heard nothing. I've not seen any posts either and it's super late in the game! I've called and emailed and both times I was told the program has not yet made decisions... wtf? Why would they wait sooo long.
My portal for UIC just got updated I think two days ago! For months my status was something like "under departmental review" and they didn't even respond to an email I sent around two weeks ago. So as odd as your situation might be, it's not the only one! Hope you hear back soon.

This wait gets increasingly harder every day. I feel like I'm being dramatic but maybe this is a shared experience ? Other posters' good fortune is giving me hope though!
I am on the same boat. My PI made an offer to another person months ago and put me on wait-list in mid-February; I check my email all the time waiting for an update! It's becoming increasingly more stressful for me as we get closer.

I don't think there is any easy way out of this, but honestly your decision at least to me is understandable. If I was in a similar situation, I'd just get straight to it and say something in the lines of:
"I am am extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity and I had all the intention to attend; however unforeseeable and new circumstances have made it difficult for me to join (Inset name of school) and I regret to inform you that under these circumstances I have had to make the difficult decision of not attending your program.
Thank you very much for your consideration and understanding.
Sincerely,
-The Mountain Goat"Good luck!

Good luck!!

UC Santa Cruz results are out. Received another rejection! I'm a bit sad because it would have been a really good fit... I don't really feel comfortable sharing it with anyone around me. Do you guys find it helpful to discuss rejections with people?
Anyways, still have four more universities left ...

Well, there goes Princeton. So all that's left of my "dream" programs is Cornell. And then I have very strong feelings that Wash State and Texas are out (one I got an email from another professor claiming my POI wasn't accepting, even though it clearly says on the website she is; the other, my phone interview was postponed and then they never wanted to reschedule.)
Edit: Oh, and there goes Temple. Sighhhh. That is the application that cost the most and took the most time.
I am on the same boat with Princeton!
Good luck with Cornell.

You guys still alive? Anyone heard anything today? People are hearing back from other departments, but the Psychology people seem to be extra quiet today!

This was me! I got a phone call--probably the kindest phone call of my life--from a POI this afternoon. Accepted to the PhD program in Literature, with top funding award! Waitlisted at UChicago and waiting to hear from a few more programs. Definitely excited about this option. It's a great fit for my interests (postmodernism, self-consciousness) and a location I could be happy in for many years.
That's awesome, congratulations mate!
I'm still waiting to hear back from UChicago!

The results page has one acceptance up! Says it's plain literature -- I applied for the creative concentration myself! You?
Definitely also one of my top choices! Amazing school, AAAAAMAAZING location....I'm too anxious for this stress haha!I have a friend who went there, so I spend a couple days on their campus, it's awesome.
I applied to the Psychology department, I know some people have already had interviews in January, so I'm not getting my hopes high, but it'd be a really good fit for me.
Good luck and keep us updated!

They have already informed some people? Do you know which department? They are one of my op choices and tired of refreshing my portal all the time!

Hi...I know...I hadn't received that mail at all regarding GSAS decision. I directly got the other mail from MA dept welcoming me to the MA program.
However, I received the actual (gift wrapped) rejection mail later (after I had written in this forum).
Has anyone else applied to social psychology dept of USC? I got the interview call in December n had a crappy Skype interview (bad internet connection) but I haven't heard from them at all. Just want closure, man. I haven't seen anyone's USC acceptance msg...so if any of you are out there, please comment!
I applied to the social psychology department at USC, haven't heard anything yet! I can't find anywhere on the application website that displays the status. I am considering emailing them soon.

Hey!
Yeah, I did apply for EMMIR. Did you apply with the late December deadline? I'm also not an EU resident so perhaps they're dealing with them in different time frames.
