  1. hey there was a delay for my ORPAS and Western Student centre to apply the updated changes. As long as you went on ORPAS, made it a firm accept, pressed review and submit, you'll be fine!
  2. Since the deadline to accept/reject the offer is by April 14, I would expect to hear about getting of the waitlist sooner than May 16. Also, how did you know you were one of the first off?
  3. In terms of Western, I called Janet Harmon, and she told me that the waitlist basically could stay open all summer long.
  4. Whats the difference between waitlist accepted and waitlist offer??? I got waitlist accepted?
  5. @SLPinthemaking @A_linguist Hey guys! I emailed the mcmaster administrative team about the whole accrediting thing, and they said that since they've been approved to hold the program, it is safe to assume that they will get accreditation.
  6. anyone else waiting for a prof to do their reference and is not getting any answers back from their email??
  7. I called way back and asked if there was a time limit and I was told that there wasn't....
  8. Yes, from what I am told, they will technically look at second year, second semester grades since thats how far 10 full credits goes. I wish there was some calculator to be honest...
  9. Hey! your description sounds a lot like mine, so if anyone could respond that would be great! Since I'm also applying, I can't say much other than you meet all the requirements and more. In terms of the sub GPA, how did you calculate that?
  10. hey, yes, I am in an Ontario school. It could be that, but it should at least detect the school since you already put it in the post secondary information tab.
  11. hmm, my transcript area already has my university listed on there because I already inputted that in my post secondary information tab. If you've already done that and it's not appearing I would definitley just call orpas so you can get a quick response.
  12. @bananis hmm, on my application there is a tab called "Transcripts" and once I'm there I can press the "request transcript" button where my school would be responsible for sending my transcript to ORPAS, on the transcript request, it does not ask for imformation about the school, just my student number and when I want the grades to be released. I would call ORPAS to see if there's anything else we're missing.
  13. @princesst hey, I believe as long as you use the transcript request on ORPAS that's all you have to do because they will contact the registrar on their end. I used the transcript request for my teacher's college application (also on ouac) and it sent through smoothly
  14. @SLPMaybe yea for sure, while I was on the phone with her I just asked her if she would be able to locate the email and or keep track of it. That way she knows someone is waiting on a response
  15. @SLPMaybe Hi, I noticed it took them a while to get back to me, but they're honestly so backed up with their system so I just called admissions (Sarah) and she opened the email and gave me a date as to when they'll get back to me by. Calling is the best way to get it done.
  16. @Bananis Hey, do you get that message after submitting the transcript request? I haven't gone that far yet. I think you should call orpas to be on the safe side
  17. @A_linguist @speechie2017 thanks for your responses guys I do have one last office hours with him tomorrow, so I have printed the information that he requested from me, and wrote the due date, my email, and the date that orpas should have emailed him on. I wouldn't doubt this prof if he wasn't so disorganized. I'm just anticipating the panic I would be in when it's like january 3 and he hasn't sent it in yet, and he isn't answering any emails haha. I called orpas and they said I need to email them if I have a problem with one of the references and they would need to remove it on their end. If any of you guys have any questions regarding the application process, I would be happy to help because I have been doing research on this program for about 3 years.
  18. Hi guys! just thought I would join this feed since I will also be applying in the upcoming cycle. My top choices are U of T, McMaster and Western. I will be at about 100 hours of SLP experience, and I'm still working out my GPA. to answer you @Jopyon, I know that u of T used to require 1 full credit in stats so they clumped the stats and research methods courses there. Now, it's half stats and half research methods. I just had a question regarding references, I have a prof who has agreed to write my reference however he is asking for other information on the side, which I give to him through email, but he seems very disorganized and never answers back to email, but in his office hours he told me to send his info in on ORPAS so now the damage is done and I must stick with him. What will happen if the january 6 deadline rolls in and he hasn't completed it yet? Thanks
