a full-time M.A. in IED
congrats! Did you get in the same program that you applied then? Just figuring out as it seems that referred students were informed first?

Any PhD applicant in the department of Education Policy and Social Analysis that has been admitted to his or her Phd program?

In other news, HGSE just became the top education school in the country (passing Stanford for the number 1 spot)! Of course rankings don't really matter, but I'm a bit of a rankings nerd.

It'd be nice if anyone has the desagreggrated indicators by area

Hi everyone, I finally heard back from my top choice that I am waitlisted. Is that good or bad? The email says: "You are currently on our waiting list as your average is just slightly below our admission requirement but you have good experiences. We will be in touch with you by the end of the month."
which program?
It is still possible you still get in! and they think your experiences are awesome! I keep my fingers crossed and hope someone attending another programs frees the spot!

Has any international applicant heard back? Unless they are going in alphabetical order, think I am braving for an official rejection
International here. Haven't heard anything either, so maybe we will embrace our rejection together . Also, from looking at the results page it seems like an international already got in :/

Thanks for confirming this!
Last year the call from students to those admitted were on Wed, correct? So, maybe we should expect a decision tomorrow?

Congratulations!!
I have applied to the M.S.Ed. in Education Policy. I turned in my application only in late January. Does anyone know when I am expected to hear from them? Since Penn GSE has rolling applications, I'm not sure when to expect a response from them.
I remember reading on the website that between four to six weeks after your app is ready for review

ikr, however, I haven't seen anything about Sociology and Education, which is the field I applied to. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

anyone knows anything about the PhDs???
-
Berkeley is a top choice however I am currently waiting to hear from other two schools to ponder my options in terms of funding and else. How about you?

Anyone in Sociology and Education, PhD?
-
I applied to POME too and received notification as well. however, that was it.

I think that if you do it through WES, they send an electronic version as well. Maybe that can explain why you do not need to rush. If you are doing it through WES, I would confirm with them. But I am quite sure they do, if I can recall my situation... Hope it all gets sorted out!

Anyone has gotten into Berkely GSE? I have some questionsssssss

I was accepted to Penn's IEDP-M today. Anyone else?
When did you submit your application?
-
if you spent less than a year, the college transcript should be enough. if you spend a year or more abroad, then you may need a WES evaluation. I had the same situation and emailed admissions office. They generally reply really fast, in my experience.

One one person has posted for the PhD program? today has been rather quiet so far?
-
haha, I graduated from College six years ago. If there is any indication, Harvard's cohort last year had a mean age of 28. So, if that is representative, then I believe it would be fair to say you'd have peers close your age. Also, I believe that many people in education apply with work experience
-
For all of those that apply also for the Master's program. Did your PhD rejection letter stated any indication of the application being submitted to the referral committee?

I'd be curious to know what arguments your advisors have brought forward to tell you not to pursue another master's. Do you mind sharing, please?
