Congratulations to everyone who got good news this week! Are any of the Stanford admits in the American subfield? Trying to figure out whether there's any hope for additional admissions. Guessing it's very unlikely at this point.

Mind sharing some of your stats? Particularly interested in your quant GRE.

Anyone claiming the Stanford admit, or is it another troll like yesterday's posts?

Based on past results, can we safely assume that Stanford results won't come out until Wednesday or Thursday?

That weird new Stanford result threw me off for a second.

Just noticed this on the Stanford Poli Sci FAQs page (https://politicalscience.stanford.edu/graduate-program/graduate-admissions/faq-prospective-phd-students#Admission). Anyone have insider info to the contrary, or do we really need to wait ~2 weeks for admissions offers? Offers of admission will be made in mid-February and admitted applicants will be invited to attend our Ph.D. Admit Visit to be held April 2-4, 2017.

Mine was from the chair of the admissions committee for the department, but I'm in American.

I got my Berkeley admittance email 40 minutes ago but just saw it now! Sat down to practice piano, and it finally came in. A watched pot never boils, right? The email came from the admissions committee chair. I only applied to Cal and Stanford (committed to staying the Bay area for now), so this is especially exciting news. Good luck to those of you still waiting for word! Some stats, in case they're useful: I had a 3.96 undergrad GPA, a similar master's GPA (can't remember off the top of my head), and the following GRE scores: 162 Q, 170 V, 5.5 AW.

Hi, folks. Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Not sure how helpful this is, but I know that the Berkeley admissions committee is meeting in the middle of next week. Whether they will send out some acceptance notifications before then or not, I'm not sure – but I think we can interpret the mid-week meeting as an indication that at least some decisions won't be made until that point. Best of luck to everyone! (And damn those Stanford trolls from last week – they really got my nerves up!)
