Looks like people are getting notifications for Hopkins mental health program? My application checklist still says under review and I haven't heard anything. I'm guessing that's not good news. :(

In the same boat. Not holding my breath.

Interesting. I received this same email December 22, which was about a week after I'd submitted the application. Let's definitely keep the hope alive... in my correspondence with somebody from JHU over the weekend, it sounds like the rest of the decisions could come within the next week or so.

I got the e-mail from Hopkins on Dec 4th. Complete silence since then.

For fellow applicants who applied for Columbia Epi, I got interviewed this morning with one professor from the admission committee (not POI) and was told that there will be ~12 slots this year. They will finalize the list next week, but the results will 'likely take another week to get to the students'. Hope this helps!

I imagine 12 slots translates to twice as many offers. I'm not very optimistic though as I haven't been offered an interview. Any thoughts?

I'm starting to go crazy as well. Rejected from UWash as well for epi (cancer focus) and have not heard from any others. This waiting is really tough!

It starts to feel a little cruel when your application is under review for 2+ months. But I guess that's the nature of the game.

What did the email about financial aid say exactly? I applied for the PhD in Epi at Columbia and I haven't received any email. I did express interest in financial aid as a part of the SOPHAS application and wrote the 250 word scholarship addendum.

I received this e-mail too. I wouldn't read too much into it. They say decisions should be sent in late February. So, only a few more weeks of waiting?

  6. Hello,

Hopkins mental health seems popular in this group. I applied to a few epi programs. February and March seem far away. I don't expect decisions until then. Best of luck!
