I also have the Ohio state pending ...it means at one point we were waitlisted idk if we still are, but at some point we are.

After getting off the waitlist my final choice is: Emory University Research Areas: Education, Mental Health, and Music Reason: Overall awesome fit, loved the faculty (one even does specific research on the intersection of music and mental health) I was also waitlisted at Ohio State University, but Emory was definitely the right choice for me

Out of curiosity is anyone planning to reject their acceptance to either Ohio State or Emory?

No I received a rejection email from a POI. They have sent out all of their acceptances...I don't know about waitlists.

It seems like Ohio state has started sending out rejections through their website...does anyone else's site still say pending? Does that mean we might be waitlisted? (Holding on to a glimmer of hope)

It seems like people are receiving acceptances, waitlists, and rejections from Indiana on the portal, but my status still just says "Submitted"...is this the case for anyone else or should I call them?

People who applied to Emory and went to the visitation weekend...have ya'll heard back yet? I see that some students have gotten in, but it seems they might have been international students who did skype interviews?

Just had a conversation with a Rutgers faculty member...admissions committee is not meeting until early February to make decisions

He has truly been an honor to work with, really an inspiration how long he has been in the department and sociology

Just heard back from Emory! They are flying me out to visit with their program for a weekend, they said I am a top applicant...Certainly did not expect this since I was freaking out yesterday!
