Waitlisted at Maryland. Email from graduate program coordinator, no update to website.

Also received an NYU Master's program "acceptance". No way I'll accept it given it's unfunded in a terribly expensive location but nice to actually hear a response from them.

Rejected this morning via website by GWU. Program wasn't a great fit and I know I struggled with the shorter SOP but still disappointing as a first result.

Nils Ringe at Wisconsin-Madison also does European work from a comparative perspective. He is from Germany and pays a fair bit of attention to German politics though I'm not sure how deep he gets into their particular issues. His work is worth checking out if you're interested though.
