  1. Hey I found this post and it's related threads very helpful! I'm also interested in "mezzo" type of work but don't know what sort of jobs are out there for this. I suppose this could fall under the purview of "program/project development"?
  2. Hi folks, I gained admission to both University of Chicago and University if Michigan for a MSW in Social Work. I'm specifically interested in issues of migration and human rights with a focus on the Arab region (international social welfare and development work in an INGO is what I would like to do). I'm really undecided about where to go. Michigan gave me a bit more money and I assume Ann Arbor is a bit cheaper than Chicago. However, I don't think the connections I would be able to make in Ann Arbor would be like those I could have in Chicago. Incidentally, I also got accepted to Columbia's program but they are very expensive and hardly gave me any money. They areally also not very responsive... I wanted to know: which program has a better curriculum for the type of work I am interested in? Which program has better networking opportunities, mentoring and support? Any information would be much appreciated ?
  3. Hello! I wanted to get some advice regarding which graduate school to attend for Fall 2017. I have been accepted with partial funding in three schools: University of Michigan, Columbia University, and University of Chicago. I want to specialize in refugee/immigrant rights and community organizations with sone policy emphasis. I really want to go to Columbia University because of greater potential for practicum field placement in New York City (more opportunities, etc). However, I don't know much about any of these programs - which one is better in terms of training, mentoring, and post graduation career advising? Any information or advice would be much appreciated! :))
