Oh, I do hope you change your mind. I am 36 and I think this is all exciting. It is all in your head. Age means nothing, really. I had excellent Professors who were so old and that really was addition of flavor to my schools. I hope I can be like them one day. You seem so motivated and I was glad to find someone like that here. You might get surprised by other schools yet. Hope I hear good news from you later.

I mean that's still a month. Not a lot of tie considering the website says 6-8 weeks. I guess I had forgotten application dates. I had all my apps in by Nov 1. 

I got a mail from the director of graduate studies on Feb 2nd, telling me that I'll get the official acceptance soon, and that I've been recommended for admission, into the UMass Ph.D. program. But I'm don't know  either if acceptances are sent together or not. 

I got a UMass/Five College program acceptance email from the director of graduate studies in history yesterday (or technically notification that I've been recommended to the graduate school for acceptance). Official offer letter forthcoming in the next few weeks. No idea if they send all of their acceptances at once.
