Rachana187 - can't wait to hear more about that program! RobinL is right - reach out to Christine at the Admissions Office and she'll be more than happy to help you out. Everyone in the office is very pleasant. I believe that 25% of the incoming students do end up getting a graduate assistantship - but I'm not sure if they apply before arriving to campus, or when they first arrive.

I don't think it hurts to reach out to Admissions and ask nicely if you'll be receiving any e-mails regarding financial assistance. They're very helpful folks - good luck to you!!

I'll be at the April 10th one. Anyone going to the reception on Thursday in DC? Also, it seems that financial aid results will be sent from March 10-24. Has anyone heard anything?

Received an awkward informal e-mail from a professor last Thursday. Portal shows accepted. Still haven't received an official e-mail. Didn't get any fellowships. Will be declining so hopefully that will help out who's waitlisted!

Agreed - seems like they're trying too hard. Wonder when we'll get the official response, though!

Brittany - Have you tried e-mailing the school and making sure they have received all of your documents and that nothing's pending? Christine, the admissions director, is extremely friendly and is great helping out with these things.

Notice of the admissions decision (Admissions and Denials) are emailed weekly beginning in mid January. We will follow up all notices of Admission with a packet of information about the program admitted to, our admitted student visit days, and information helpful as you consider our offer of admission. So, the sooner you apply, the sooner you hear back. If you applied right around the deadline, then you'll probably hear back before March, or around then.
