Ok now, that's just too cruel... Not to mention they send out the email unannounced... I envy you for the beach. So much I can do since I live in Arizona. Just cacti, succulents, and rocks... Where do I go?

I'm actually thinking about hiking a small mountain too. It'd be a long painful way down if I wasn't selected as a finalist. It would be kind of ironic actually because I have been put on a pedestal by my friends and family for making the semi-finalist cut. Little do they know other semi-finalists are as qualified as myself if not more. @Photogeographic I really hope you get it this time! I applaud you for your persistance!

Oh... I thought the title would include all of them like " Final Notification: P/A/NS" and you would have to open it to find out what you got?

I can already feel how amazing that is going to be like. That's a perfect analogy haha. Could you open my notification email for me and then let me know?

As we get ready for this upcoming week (hopefully it will be full of congratulations and very little to no need for condolences), I am interested to know what you guys are planning on doing once you get the notification email? Are you guys going to open it immediately, go home and lock yourself in your room before opening it, or hike up a mountain so you can open it at the top? I need some suggestions to reduce my built-up anxiety.

I think most of the countries have made their pick and now it's mostly up to U.S. to approve the list... I JUST WANT THE RESULT! @AnnMarie I am BEYOND paranoid about Poland notification... I just want to set my heart to rest after hearing the final notification regardless of the result. I also feel like it'd be worse to have such a lenient schedule during the notification week because you would be constantly thinking about the notification.

Hi, When you guys were picking your host country, were you guys able to come up with unique reasons for that specific country? I had several reasons for my country but they were mainly objective and circumstantial in nature. Of course I had few reasons that mainly addressed circumstances and cultural differences of the country I am interested in but I feel like I didn't really have much appeal to pathos. Any thoughts on that?

Yeah that really was weird. They were all surprised to know my responses that were very similar to what I wrote on my application. I constantly pointed out "as you may have read on my application," but I feel like they really haven't looked that much into what our objectives were compared to who we are. It makes sense that they were trying to put a face on each of our application but I just want to know how much weight our interviews have on the final selection! Now that we are down to like ~30 applicants who are all well qualified, maybe they were just trying to see if you have the personality that they were looking for.

My interview was right on time and I remember sitting there counting down until their call. Mine was at 7:30am too... I had this pleasant short haired lady as the main interviewer and another lady plus a gentleman who were all present at my interview. Although I could have been more concise on more technical questions, I am hoping that had the chance to see my personality through my somewhat awkward attempts at making jokes (I made them laugh couple times!). Honestly though, I am hoping my background in biology could give me a huge boost haha. I'm also a pre-med student so I'm hoping that his opportunity can give me a chance to be useful in a different way during my gap year!

Hey! I hope your interview went well! I can't help but to think I could have said some things better than I did now that I just had my interview... WELP good to know that someone else is on the same boat!

Hey, I applied to Fulbright ETA in Poland and have talked to last year's winners and they told me that there is only one interview (Skype). I just had mine 3 days ago and now anxiously waiting. I don't know how research grant for Poland works but I feel like it's pretty much the same.
