Congrats!! That's so exciting! I'm hoping I'll be in the same place this time next year! Would you mind sharing your work/volunteer experience? I'm finishing up my BSW and will be applying to the advance standing program for fall 2018. Any info/advice would be very appreciated!
Thanks! I have 10+ years of experience in ABI and medical case management.I have volunteered at Halton Healthcare (2 departments). I am also a graduate from Seneca College (SSW) and Ryerson (BSW). I suggest to set aside a significant amount of time to work on your resume and your statement. These are selling features. If by chance you get wait listed, continue to provide the occasional update if there are any changes such as resume, transcript, practicum evaluation. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

I know this forum is very quiet around this time but I wanted to share. I received a call yesterday from U of T and I have been offered a spot in the Advanced standing program which I have accepted. To those of you still on the wait list, there is hope!! If you are on the wait list at the University of Waterloo, there should be movement as I withdrew my spot. Good Luck!

I have recently accepted my offer to the MSW program at Waterloo. Does anyone have any info regarding the program, class size, and the number of students they accept per year?
Thanks.

So this isn't in regard to an MSW but it is in regard to a MA in Child and Youth Care at Ryerson. I just received this e-mail and I am just wondering if anyone has received anything similar to Ryerson in the past. It isn't very clear but looks promising?
We are pleased to inform you that the Dean of the Yeates School of Graduate Studies, on the recommendation of the Graduate Admissions Committee of the Graduate Studies Child and Youth program has reached a final decision regarding your application to the Full Time Master of Arts - Child and Youth Care program.
To access this document, please login to your Student Centre in RAMSS (my.ryerson.ca) and look under the "Communications" section, located on the bottom right corner.
Note that communications may take up to 24 hours to appear in your Student Centre.
Thank you for your prompt attention and we look forward to your positive response, within the deadline date noted in the communication.
yes, it was for my bsw. There should be a letter in your RAMSS under communication.

Congrats to you as well! Will you be accepting their offer? My letter's up now and I'm strongly considering it.
Thanks! I am not sure yet but like you strongly considering it. Still waiting to hear back from Ryerson.

You can complete the program from sept.- April and graduate in June or sept to June and graduate in Nov. If you do the latter, you can spread out amount of courses you take per semester so course load isn't too heavy.
