So tired of this endless waiting... Though I think I could probably safely assume a reject since I was not interviewed...

Sorry about it! I hope you are feeling okay and you have other good (or better) options! May I ask if you applied for sociocultural? I saw two updates about the dual program in History and Anthropology at UMich and not sure if there's any updates yet for the sociocultural track.

I saw one person posted on the art history forum that he/she did an interview for Yale anthropology on Jan 31st. Not sure if it's for archaeology and sociocultural tho but it's making me feel nervous...

Oh yes 2021! But for the 2022 cycle people seem to get interviewed... I don't know anyone getting interviews at Princeton. I am contacting a current student and will make sure to let you know if I hear back!

I saw that post too but that one was from 2020 when Princeton didn't run this whole interview thing. Seems from last year they began to interview people. Not sure if all shortlisted candidates are interviewed, but I am beginning to feel a little dark now..... Anyways fingers crossed for us!

I think they know. They just didn't mention it to you. And yes, my POI told me so. OMG that makes me really nervous. How come the other professor never contacted me...

Any other UChicago interviewees out there? I'm curious how many faculty members contacted and interviewed you? The status update says one faculty member will reach out to set up an interview, so I was under the impression that I'd only be interviewed once. But in my interview with one of my PoIs she told me there'll be another professor (she gave a specific name) contacting and interviewing me. But I was contacted by no people. Their interview window was Jan. 24-26 after which they met on Jan. 27 to finalize things. I am so confused now... Also it seems from last year interviewees were each contacted by two faculties, which makes me feel even more nervous now... Anyone could enlighten me what might have happened?

I didn't apply for Brandeis, but I ran across another person on another platform who received an interview from them which seems credible to me. Not that the post you mention is 100% true but it seems they did send out some invites earlier this week. Good luck!!!

That post is fake. I emailed HASTS after seeing it and they told me they hadn't contacted anyone for interviews. Not sure if you already know -- they sent out interview invites two days ago on Jan 24. Good luck!!

I'm a NYU interviewee too! Not sure how much invites they sent out. My guess is mora than 10, considering they also need some people for waitlists. If they send rejects to interviewees there could even be more. Fingercrossed for us!

Hi! I saw it too and I actually found it quite amusing. I think the person is being sarcastic about those spams and how much publication they claim they have. The Nobel thing, president's recommender and also the 4.1 gpa I think this person is sending a clear message that this's not true. I hope you didn't get too disturbed by it. Hi! That post is 99% fake. Chicago just sent out the interview invites and has not admitted anyone yet. I remember seeing a similar post (probably from the same person) on either Berkeley or MIT admits, which is also likely fake. I received an interview invite from NYU today. Not sure if they contact all tracks at the same time tho. I am sociocultural track btw. Hang in there and good luck!

I see! I got two interview invites and according to the emails one should be ~20 mins, the other should be ~30 mins. Hope it's just their standard operation procedure. I really don't want to go through two rounds of interview... Both of my interviews are with two of the three POIs I listed in my SoP btw. Anyways congratulations and good luck to both of us!!!

You mean it's possible for schools to conduct both a virtual and an on-campus interview? I thought it's one or the other...
