UCLA has a great history department. I received my undergraduate degree there emphasizing in Ancient History and found that the faculty and fellow students were top-notch. Mellor and Phillips were both excellent professors and offered excellent advice to me when I was looking at graduate schools. Plus, you have access to the classics department and their faculty, which are also very distinguished. Congratulations on being admitted to such a fine program!
