  1. Do they?! I think EPGA sounds pretty awesome but I haven't heard anything from specific students so I guess I'm questioning myself. I would concentrate in Conflict resolution at both schools and ultimately I'd like to do research and policy work. I'm now thinking that perhaps American is the place for me considering the structure and content of the major.. Thanks for everyone's thoughts!!
  2. I actually got a phone call first, and then there was also a letter in the packet. best of luck!
  3. Hi So today I found out that I did not receive funding from the Elliot School. American, however, gave me their Dean's Award for remission of 12 credits (approx. $16,000). I'm accepted into SIS's Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs major which is new. It's a dual department program between SIS's Conflict and Conflict Resolution Major and the Philosophy and Religion Department. I haven't heard that much about it so I'm wondering what it is like. Is GW worth it to forego SIS and the money? Is it appropriate to write to GW and use the money SIS gave me as leverage? HELP!!! Thanks!
  4. Hi, same thing just happened to me! I applied to a dual SIS program called Ethics, Peace and Global Affairs and for GSPIA's MPIA in Human Security. I'm waiting now to hear from GW. Not sure which to choose, but so far American has given me money. I'm leaning towards American due to its ratings and location in DC, though I enticed by Pitt's Ford Institute for Human Security. So, same question. Has anyone heard anything about these programs?
  5. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about these programs. They are more interdisciplinary than usual IR programs. American's Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs is a dual program between the Philosophy and Religion Department and SIS and Pittsburgh's MPIA in human security is pretty forward thinking since there aren't other human security programs in the US like it. I'm also waiting to hear back from GW's MAIA... Any thoughts? Thanks
