Wow, I got E/E, VG/E, E/E. Only one reviewer pointed out my crappy "Academic Record"; a 3.5 GPA and 1420 GRE score. I hope this helps people who were looking for information! If anyone else needs to ask anything, feel free to PM me.

From what I understand, the list of award winners last year was posted before all emails had been sent/received. Supposedly, the NSF was trying to fix that issue this year. That is, the NSF would prefer that emails are sent before they post the list.

I plan on sharing my NSF response. I am predicting a "no" to shield myself from a surprising defeat.

I went and got a 6-pack to prepare myself There's either a celebration if I win or a pity party if I don't!

My proposal had 6 references. My friend's application that won in 2005 had 9. I hope that helps.

This is my first year applying and also my first year as a Ph.D. student. I ended up reading about 100 pages of last year's grfp thread and have now made it to the end of this year's thread. Good luck everyone, and I hope we find out soon!
