Anyone have any information on the likelihood of accreditation for the new programs that are accepting applications this year? Baylor, Arizona, KGI?

I really wanted to apply there, but I've been calling them for the last week to see if i can submit just unofficial transcripts (they have that Dec. 15th deadline) since my official won't make it in time at this point, and no one will answer, or it transfers to the main line and no one seems to know who I should talk to. I left a voicemail with the director, but haven't heard anything.
I know this isn't helpful, but I'm having the same trouble with UC Irvine

People applying to the University of Texas program: are we not required to send transcripts? I don't see an address/email to send them on their program website, and the application has us upload unofficial transcripts. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything!
I emailed to ask but haven't heard back yet. I assume not though since there's no information for it!

So just be wary or super on top of it if going that route.

Please don’t worry about editing your personal statement down to 2 pages – the review committee will evaluate all personal statements that are 500-750 words. I updated our limit to 2 pages to match the University’s language.

I'm gonna try to check with the genetic counselor who is writing me a letter on Monday to see if she received an email from UAMS and Baylor and will update on what she says
My writers said they didn't receive from Baylor so I think it may be after we submit. Please let me know if you find out something different!

A couple of the schools I'm applying to have a section on the applications called "experiences," where we're meant to enter certain types of experiences, like research, employment, etc. Does anyone know if this is necessary to fill in even though they're requiring a CV? It's super repetitive, but I guess so is the "transcript entry" that some schools require.

I'm stressing since this is the first one of my apps due, but I feel like I need to submit it by mid-November so there's enough time for my recommenders to receive the email and then turn in the letter... I'm not even close to being done with my PS which is always the last thing I finish before submitting. ughhh

If you can't afford/don't want to pay twice, you may benefit from a gap year to gain that experience. Really think hard about what is best for you. Maybe this year only apply to your top 2 or 3 schools to get a feel of the process and see what happens instead of all 6 or 8 you might be interested in. If you get in, great, if you don't at least you know how the process works a bit more, saved some money, AND you can get direct feedback on your application from directors at your top choice schools and use that to your advantage for next cycle.
So I just had my meeting with the program director, so I will be very thorough with what she told me. If you've looked, the application is half up. So, definitely still expecting to take applicants and the deadline is going to be January 1st. You can enter your basic info and pay the fee (and technically submit, but don't do that), but there isn't areas for the specific items, such as your Personal Statement or references. They are in the process of finishing up the specifics on the application and should have that up within the next couple of weeks (the program coordinator has been on maternity leave). Second, they hope to have the website up within the next month. It is basically completed on their side, with just the FAQ section that needs to be put together before it goes live. Third, the director is hoping to have the application submitted to ABGC in a week. She is completely done with the application and is only waiting on her supervisor to read and sign off.
Unfortunately, many schools have reaccreditations coming up, plus the other new programs that have submitted their application already. She was told it could take up to 8 months for the application to be reviewed and accreditation to be given. This deadline puts getting accredited very close to or after the Match deadline. If Arizona is not accredited by that deadline, they CANNOT participate in the Match. They would be allowed to participate in the Unmatched process and extend acceptances to students then.
These programs work really hard on the back end to get everything needed for accreditation and need a lot of support. To get to the point of accreditation, I feel most schools will almost always get it, unless some big glaring problem comes up. Arizona thankfully used to have a well run program, has tons of support from the school and administrators, and a director who has put everything into this to make it a possibility. I have no doubts that accreditation will be give, but the when is the biggest factor. Let's say for example Arizona is your top choice, but they aren't accredited in time and you go ahead with match. You get matched with Program B (your second choice), but then Arizona gets accreditation and wants to extend you an offer. Your Match with Program B is binding. You cannot go to Arizona if Program B doesn't withdraw their offer. You are stuck going to Program B or not going at all. This would be the same scenario for ANY school that is pending accreditation come Match..
It puts students in a kind of tricky spot, especially if their top choice is one of those schools waiting, do you wait and risk the school not getting accreditation or do you do Match and risk not getting your top choice if you are Matched and then they get accredited? This is kind of the spot I will be in.. It's still a ways off, so I'm not going to stress over it until interviews, which will really show me which school is the right one for me. If that means I don't participate in Match and hold out a chance, then I will or vice versa.
The director did give me a draft of the student handbook, which is basically what is on the website. If anyone is interested/looking into Arizona, feel free to PM me your email and I can scan and send it to you. It has information about pre-reqs, where rotations will be, tuition, etc.
Thanks so much for the detailed reply! It's a little unfortunate that we could spend time applying and pay the fee to then find out they weren't accredited on time and that time/money is a waste though.

Do you know if Arizona is still planning on taking applicants this cycle? Their website still has next to no information!
Also, if programs are open for applications but they still haven't received accreditation, what are everyone's thoughts on applying?

Anyone have any insider updates on new programs? I haven't been able to find much on Columbia or MGH so I'm wondering if they will possibly be taking applications this cycle or not.

How is everyone deciding about where to apply? With the match system, I realize that while we do rank our programs, those programs that we rank really have to be ones that we could see ourselves going to. I think this is giving me a bit of anxiety since my home state only has a couple of programs and I haven't visited many other cities that have programs so I really don't know how I'd feel about living there. I'm also finding that a lot of the programs don't necessarily have a plethora of information about the program-more of just an overview. How are you guys reconciling this?
