Hey! I applied to Ling at UDEL. I had a phone interview (which i didnt know at that time that it was an interview ahh) in mid Feb. I havent heard back from them but i wrote them an email earlier today as apr 15th is approaching and i need to make a decision. I only want to work with 1 faculty member there and their focus is slightly different than what i want to do... and i wouldnt be too surprised if i dont get an offer.

Thanks for your insight, socialpsych2010!! It is really helpful. Do you think that by having MA from NYU will increase my chances of being accepted to top programs such as Northwestern? and where do MA holders go for their PhDs?

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about NYU general psychology MA program. All I know at this point is that MA classes are taught by adjunct professors and not by the regular professors. This leads me to think that it is unlikely for MA students to have a lot of research experience and publications... I have a funded PhD offer from another school and I am trying to figure out if this offer is worth taking for the possibility of more rigorous academic path after having MA from NYU. Actually no one I know at Rollins has research positions - i think they either took out loans or their parents paid for the school. I think it is totally worth it. Emory is great - the faculty members are really nice and helpful, the campus is gorgeous and the facility is amazing. I am sure if you want to get a research position, you will be able to get it (either paid or volunteer). The profs are pro-research As for me, I wanted to head back up to North East to be in "academic belt". I am still waiting to hear back from a couple of programs but I have an offer from SUNY Binghamton. Cog Psyc is a pretty small but growing field. Surprisingly, there are a ton of Cog psyc applicants this year. It makes me excited but also think that I might have picked a wrong year to apply

Has anyone for the cognitive program hear back from Rutgers? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I emailed NYU, Brown for my status updates and they replied within 2 days. Lehigh conducted their interview in the beginning of March but I dont think they made their decisions yet.

I went to Emory undergrad. and have some friends who went to Rollins Public Health program. I think they like the experience so far. I LOVED my Emory experience. Do you have any specific questions? btw, CONGRATULATIONS!

Hi guys, I had a couple of interviews about 2 weeks ago but I havent still heard anything from those schools yet... i am getting anxious. should i be worried that i will hear a bad news or is this typical turnaround time?
