  1. I'm going to try to explain my situation as best as I can, it's a problem about timelines and It seems to me that if I don't go about this situation properly, it might hurt my chances. But maybe it's something more common than I think. Some basic information relevant to the problem: I'm looking to apply for a graduate program in Canada planning to enroll at the Fall of 2019. In Canada, some universities require a master degree to apply to a PhD program. The story: it's the end of 2017 and I finished my bachelor's in my home country, but for reasons, I didn't manage to finish the application process, so I had to delay it to this year, 2018. I always intended to enroll in a masters or PhD program abroad, but I didn't want to be idle while I wait for the applications to start, so I then enrolled in a masters program (August 2018) in the same university I got my undergraduate degree. ( I started my masters study August this year, and its a 2 year program, so I won't be able to finish it if I'm accepted in Canada, as I plan to enroll around September 2019 as I mentioned before. I don't want to wait to finish my masters to apply, and If I'm accepted I don't mind quitting the current program and starting fresh abroad, because that has always been my main objective. The thing in, I'm not sure how to approach this in my application. When I enrolled I was awarded a scholarship, which might help show that I'm a strong candidate, so this seems definitely something important to talk about in my application together with all the experience I'm having during the masters course. If I could, I would apply directly to a PhD, but given the situation, I don't think I can. btw, the programs in my country have totally different requirements to apply and enter, ie, no GRE, TOEFL, LORs or SOPs. Someone suggested I tried asking for a program transfer, but doesn't seems like a possibility considering the different requirements and different countries. TL;DR: I'm enrolled in a masters course that I don't plan to finish applying to another masters course abroad, what to do?
