Did you get the call from Reisman or Stoltz? Was it today? I never thought one can get calls on Sundays. Is that person from adcomm or Prof. interested to have you as grad student?

What are the visiting dates for MIT, Caltech and Princeton? Did you get a call from a Professor mentioned in your SOP from MIT and Caltech?

Yeah. That's pretty much true. Of course, there are some exceptions. Not to forget about the mood of the interviewer at that time which might also go a long way in the final outcome of the interview. Best of luck to all you guys. Hope you get over this interview and get positive calls from other schools too.

I ain't sure about others but Scripps has this interview just for formality. In general, it's another name for campus visit and most of the candidates get admission offers after the interview.

It sounds a bit private but can you tell me the name of Professor from whom you get the call? Is he the only Prof. whom you mentioned in your SOP or you mentioned some more in the same area? Were you in touch with this Prof. before through email or he contacted you directly?

Did you hear in these holidays or what? When are their interviews?

Have you heard only about admissions from these two universities or also about the support (RA/TA/Fellowship)?

Congrats for Stanford! When did you actually send all the documents? Seems like you were really early in sending your documents Though, I have also sent the documents but I'm quite sure that I won't hear anything before late February as I am an international applicant!

Caltech, Harvard, MIT, Stanford, UCLA, UT Austin, Scripps, University of Wisconsin-Madison (all in organic chemistry). Currently doing research at Caltech and has been awarded SURF for doing summer research at Caltech. Also published one paper in PCCP at EPFL, preparing for another one at Caltech. Also worked earlier as a research assistant at EPFL and University of Rostock. What about others?
