  1. I was impressed by Wagner, but as someone who wants a health policy career in DC with the federal government, I found it a little worrisome that 75-79% of Wagner grads end up staying in NYC. I am a bit concerned the program is too "NYC-centric" despite the school's obvious attempts to say otherwise. I wish the accepted student reception in DC for students and alumni wasn't after the decision deadline. I would love an opportunity to talk to Wagner alums in DC to get their perspective. What awful scheduling, NYU Wagner!!! Anyone else out there who is feeling the same way? Right now I am leaning toward Hopkins IPS because of their very generous scholarship as well as its closer proximity to DC. It's much smaller and doesn't have the separate policy school and resources that NYU Wagner has, but I think this may not be as much of a con as I originally thought. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
  2. I'm facing the exact same decision (as well as thinking about Georgetown). I'm attending the NYU Wagner open house tomorrow, so I hope to have a greater point comparison among the programs after tomorrow.
  3. Did anyone attend the open house on March 25th? Unfortuantely, I was unable to attend, but I scheduled another visit for later this week. I'm very interested in knowing how the open house went and if there is anything of note I should look out for/ask about during my visit. Thanks!
  4. There is a very good blog written by a current Fletcher student who also takes classes at Harvard in which he compares the two schools. Worth Checking out http://demagoguesanddictators.blogspot.com/2010/02/fletcher-and-kennedy-school-comparison.html
  5. I have also been accepted to the MPP program at JHU. I am very interested in knowing more about the program's reputation as well, especially as it relates to health policy. JHU's Bloomberg School of Public Health is the best in the country, and the opportunity to take classes for a policy degree with a concentration in health policy sounds like it would be outstanding.
