Hey ya'll! I've been exploring this forum recently and have some questions about what it takes to get into a MSW program experience wise. I'm graduating this December with a degree in social policy and 3.7 GPA. I'm passionate about child welfare and will be doing Teach For America next year. After TFA, I hope to get my MSW at University of Michigan, University of Denver or Arizona State. I'll be spending 6 weeks this spring in Peru volunteering at a group home for neglected and abused girls, which I feel will be relevant to to my future in social work. What other opportunities would be helpful for me to have to gain admissions (ideally with a scholarship) to these two programs? I was thinking of volunteering with big brothers big sisters, but I'm not sure if that would be a useful opportunity. Any other suggestions on ways to enhance my application? Thanks!
