For those of you working in an interdisciplinary sort of way I HIGHLY recommend SVA. I am in my second year in the MFA program and the faculty is amazing. You've got rockstar teachers like Marilyn Minter (who also teaches at Yale), Kate Gilmore, Fred Wilson, and James Siena who really invest in you and mentor you. Plus SVA is BLOCKS from the big galleries in Chelsea. PACE, David Zwirner, Barbara Goldstein, etc.

I got my acceptance (painting) packet via priority mail on the 22nd. the date on the letter was march 17th if that helps at all.

How did you find out? Snail mail? Phone call? Did you have an interview? I am waiting to find out for painting....RISD would be the only reason I decide not to move to NY

Turns out UC-Davis didn't receive any of my materials! I really don't know how this happened because I fed-exed it. I'm upset but also helps now that I don't have to make the choice between california and NY.

The University of Washington Rejection came early last week and was in an envelope that i sent them with my own handwriting. If you get something else then i would bet that you got in! I logged in to the UC Davis website where I did all my application and it didn't have any answers. Maybe I should call?

This is my first post and I was noticing that it seems like everyone is on the edge of their seat waiting to hear from RISD. I'm going for an MFA Painting program.
