Ugh, just got an email saying that due to an increasingly competitive pool, my application is undergoing an "extended review process" meaning I've been placed on a waiting list and they hope to let me know by April 30th.
I have two friends who were rejected, but accepted to SIPA (with no scholarship) and saw a few posts on here from people who were rejected as well. I guess all we can do is wait and see.
I'm going to the alumni panel for New School tonight - I'll let you know how it was!
I'm hoping that's not the case. I know some people received rejection emails starting weeks ago, so I think they're taking things on a case by case basis, depending on when you submitted all of your materials. Fingers crossed!
I also got into New School - are you considering it?
I applied about an hour and a half before the Jan 7th deadline. Do you think they're doing the batches first by when they were received and then in alpha order? I'm towards the end of the alphabet, so that's the only reason I can think of for two people who submitted at almost the same time to hear a week apart? Maybe it's wishful thinking....
