    Congrats! Same here. same specialization!

I've been struggling with the decision for a while. Have you made your mind?

Btw what do you think about the clinical practice of UCB? I could barely find much information and even the curriculum online doesn't show the elective...

Between what schools are you deciding?  I am strongly leaning towards Cal. It makes the most sense financially and for a lot of other reasons for me. Plus it’s also an amazing program and school.

I’m still not sure how I feel about the new curriculums though. I wish I knew more about them.  If you’re looking for a school that specializes in clinical practice, I’m not sure Berkley is your bet. At least not from what I understand.  It definitely depends on what your options are though.  I also don’t think Cal is going to set you up for failure in a matter what you do.

Congratulations ??!! I am sure you are over the moon!

Would you mind sharing what concentration you were accepted for? Title IV-E?

On a MSW UC/CSU FB page 2 people recieved notices of being waitlisted for UCB’s MSW program, (1 was title IV-e the other was not) today 3/6/2018 it appeared around 11:20am.

Please post if you hear anything.

    Thanks! I am.

I applied, and was accepted, for the “Advancing Health and Wellbeing across the Adult Life Span” specialization, formally, “Direct Practice in Community Mental Health Services”. I got the email around noon.

Have you heard back yet?? If not, best of luck!!

  3. Their website says all graduate programs will have a decision by March 15. Another thread said that Berkeley’s MSW program finished interviews Feb 1 and last year it was March 1, so decisions could go or any day now??? I don’t know what that means though. I know berkeley doesn’t interview all applicants or even all admits.

I am also waiting!!! :)) When did you two apply??

I'm gonna jump into this conversation too. I applied to Denver on 12/15. Today was the last day of January and, I don't know about y'all but I've also been checking my email obsessively and still haven't heard anything back. After today I'm starting to freak out just a little. Am I alone? Have you few heard anything?

  5. I got an email from admissions counselor today who wanted to talk. I am not sure if it is an interview or just someone selling me on the program. I can't imagine it is a bad sign, but I am not really sure what to think. Has anyone else heard anything from GSSW yet?

  6. Most applications(at least that I have filled out), even programs that do have a minimum GPA requirement, have a space where you can address academic hardship and discuss why you are still qualified. My best friend was accepted to 4 of the 5 schools to which she applied with a 2.5 GPA and average experience because she was open about her depression in her application. Highlight your other selling points, rack up your experience, perfect your essays, and sell your struggles as strengths. I wouldn't lose hope over your GPA, as long as you can write a convincing statement as to why you can preform better in the future.
