    Statistics: To retake or not?

    Hey there! I am an out of field applicant so I don't know how much it will differ from my experience to yours. I also had a C in stats and I never retook it and my CSD classes range anywhere from an A to a C+ and I got into two schools. As long as your GPA stays a good number and you get good GRE scores, along with all the other things that complete the applications (letters of rec, statement of purpose, etc.) I wouldn't recommend you retake the class. If you get mixed replies or continue to have mixed feelings, I would suggest you ask a professor or advisor that knows the process of applying to grad schools. When I went to talk to my advisor/professor about wanting to retake the class I got a C+ in, she actually told me not to retake it because it would only raise my GPA a little bit. I think it just boils down to personal preference. I'm not an expert but I think you would be okay with a C in stats, but if you feel like you need to retake it; retake it! Good luck!

    Hey guys! I decided to withdraw my interview because I got into a cheaper program and although I'm really interested in the medical side of the profession, I just can't justify the tuition. I heard back from someone when I was trying to get insight into the interview. The person told me that the interviewer makes you feel super comfortable, they got asked 3 questions: why did you choose SLP, how you overcame an obstacle in your life, and what is your biggest accomplishment. This was only from one person so I'm not sure if they ask different questions or what. Anyways, I wish you nothing but the best. I'm sure you'll do great! GOOD LUCK!

    Have you still not heard anything? I haven't heard from them at all! I didn't know there was an interview involved...I tried to stay clear of those schools, haha! I am in the same boat as you, not  too interested in the school but would like to have more than one option. Also, I'm not too happy with them. They have been rude to me in the admissions office when I called about a transcript mix up and the CSD secretary never wrote me back when I asked if all my materials were delivered so my application could be incomplete for all I know!

They are going to wait to send out anymore until they start hearing back from everybody on the first list. There’s a second list that was created so don’t lose hope just yet! If you want more information regarding if you’re on the second list or not I would definitely call the office. Good luck!

    That's a good idea. I talked to someone else on here and they told me the three questions they got asked. I wonder if it's all the same? Please keep me posted! Mine is Wednesday. Good luck!

    What Schools Are You Waiting On!?

    I’m still waiting for quite a few (as you can see in my signature). I’m looking for someone who has intereviewed at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions to see what kind of questions I should expect and should prep for. So far I’ve heard rejections and wait lists from schools and I want to be ready for RMUoHP. I need some good news soon! This waiting is horrible. If you have any interview insight from RMUoHP, please let me know!

    What is the "PORTAL" everyone looks at?

    I've seen on the results page some people post something like:

    "just checked the portal, says decision made: rejected" or "got an email to check the portal"

    What is this secret portal everyone talks about? Is it the place where I can log in to check the status of my application once I have submitted it? Like right now, one of my applications says Application Status: Submitted. Is this the place that is the "portal"? Will my application status change or is there another secret portal I don't know about?

    Someone posted a school updated their portal and that's how they found out their fate but I checked my status at the same school (the one I used as an example above) and nothing has changed.

    Thanks for the help! And sorry if this is confusing because I am confusing myself typing this out!
