Harvard’s results (rejections...) are in.

Hi, I simply asked either the person that contacted me (a faculty member, or a staff member) or the coordinators of graduate studies when should I expect decisions to be sent.

I applied to Harvard and did not hear anything yet. I suppose I’ll receive a rejection soon though since I was not interviewed.

No rest for the wicked! The work is never done, I guess?

Last year I heard back from UB on 4.3 (from the faculty member who interviewed me) and two days later received the official rejection letter. Michigan (Ann Arbor) contacted me (also after and interview) only on 4.4. I passed that winter of discontent last year, realizing that my applications were indeed scarce half made, and reapplied this year - and great results came.. hope that’s some relief.

Here too. But I was not interviewed there so I don’t think it’ll turn out well.

They told me they are working to process all applications by the deadline of 5.2, and that decisions shall be sent sometime after this...

I think someone posted on the board something on an interview with Princeton. For what it’s worth, I haven’t heard from them as well. Congrats on Columbia!! I know that Cambridge will be back with results in the next days (they told me that their deadline for working on the apps is Feb. 5..so here we are). Anyone heard from Harvard or Yale?

Hi, best of luck friend! In all of my interviews (American programs), I was asked to elaborate on specific points in my SoP, to speak about my plans for the PhD and on the reasons I wish to be apart of that specific program.

Congrats to everyone! I’m still waiting for the decision to arrive from Cambridge (they told me they’re hoping to know by 5 Feb. and to notify not too much latet), but otherwise it seems I’ll be moving to Seattle. Anyone else here thinks of coming to UW?

Am I in the wrong to think that whatever university I did not hear from anything by now is not going to send any good news now? Or am I just too pessimistic and tired from the process?

Great, best of luck friend! I too applied to Chicago and Columbia and heared nothing yet (which kinda makes me feel it’s not going anywhere, hearing they already held interviews and sent some decisions even). So, sounds like you’re doing well!

Hi, So, just had a Skype interview with Cambridge (PhD), thought I might help out from the experience. I was asked about my research proposal, mainly about what I think we can gain by it and about possible weak points. The questions were tough but fair and the atmosphere was overall very nice.
