    Got an email from my country program this morning.  During my interview they said they would try to notify me this week, but my new email says that they likely won't be able to notify until April due to the State Dept. being on a "continuing resolution" on the topic of funding.  I don't know if this only applies to my country, or if it applies to all of us...

     

    The last paragraph of the email really confused me, because they said they look forward to meeting me in person and that they're excited about what I plan to do.  I don't know if this means they plan to except me (if funding works out, of course) or if this was just a stock email they sent out to all semi-finalists for my country.

     

    Either way, it was terrifying to see in my inbox, because the email preview said "Thank you for your interview with us. Unfortunately..." :D

    You should email them right away because if you're a semi-finalist, you're supposed to have your official transcripts sent to them by tomorrow, Feb. 20. I'm sure they're going to be lenient, especially with the Turkey ETA applicants since we found out later AND there are some email issues. I mean, if they sent out the notifications and neither of us got them, it can't just be us....

    Merhaba, selamlar :) Ben de biraz Turkce konusorum. Sen de? I honestly would had applied for Turkey, but the program cancellations felt too risky for me.

    Hey all! Sort of wondering how the Google doc can be accurate? Seems like so many were recommended! If only 20-30% of applicants are recommended, how can it be the case (for example) that basically EVERY Germany applicant was recommended? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Cd86U9AreH9k_-WKLKnLCLn_C5MC3FKvZZ9RhlqSAq4/edit#gid=1535702113

    I get that we are sort of "self-selective" since we are motivated (and crazy!) enough to be going on this forum and logging the results, but I still would expect to see more rejections for something this selective.
