Hello all, and congrats on the acceptances so far!
I am wondering if there are any other PhD in Creative Writing applicants here? I haven't seen any postings (but there are 35 pages so I could have missed it).

Any other PhD in Creative Writing applicants here? I'm finding none in the English PhD thread.

I'm assuming it's all genres. I was notified -- literally a few hours after typing this -- that I am on the wait list. Ack! This process feels like riding a roller coaster. And I am not a thrill-seeker. ?
Anyway, we all still have March and early April. I've heard from previous applicants that a lot can happen in that time frame.
Sending everyone positive vibes through this process!
Congrats on being on the waitlist! I hope you get to go!!
Also, I hope you're right about a lot happening in this time frame...I am not enjoying the wait though!

I applied to six programs (5 MFAs, one an MA/MS in book publishing) and have heard back from one so far (a yes from Emerson, thank you Boston).
The stress is w i l d. I feel like I've grown attached to my phone and, specifically, my email. And my mailbox. I can't wait to just know.
I concur. I panic when I feel my phone vibrate, refresh my email, or check my mailbox. And I can't continue stress eating girl scout cookies. But, 'tis the season I suppose?

Hi fellow writer friends!! I am so excited I found this thread. I am in the midst of my February freak-out and I am a mess of stress.
I am waiting to hear from fictions programs at University of Wyoming, UC San Diego, Bloomington, Purdue, and Western Washington. I know a few of those have sent out some notifications (which UGH because I haven't heard yet so that doesn't sound great). Any others in my waiting boat/heard anything from these schools?
This is my second round of applications (my first was in 2016). I have had some rejections, too, but so far I've been accepted to Adelphi!

Actually, I was hoping to work with Adrian Matejka! (Though Ross is a ray of sunshine.)
Has anyone received any MFA rejections from Indiana Bloomington? It seems like most/if not all of the poetry acceptances were sent out last week, and I just think it's strange that no rejections have been sent yet (at least not that I know of).
I didn't see any replies to this.....but I haven't heard back from Indiana yet regarding fiction. Anyone else?

As of right now, I am one such person.
I just heard back about MFA in Fiction last night via email (rejection unfortunately) so I would imagine they'll send out other program notifications soon!

I wonder if Cornell has notified all of the accepted applicants; it's a small cohort, so I guess it's likely that they've been called. Idk -- has anyone heard anything about Cornell (or Brown) from The Draft?
I have no information about Cornell or Brown, but I am wondering how I can join The Draft?

Hi everyone! I thought I would get in on this waiting club
The suspense is too much for me right now. I am on my second wave of MFA applications in fiction (first one was in 2016) and still waiting to hear from 6 schools. It's a bit early still, but I want to start planning!!!
I'm waiting on Wisconsin-Madison, Purdue, Indiana Bloomington, Wyoming-Laramie, UCSD, and Western Washington. So far I've been rejected from Houston and Pittsburgh, but accepted to Adelphi.

I only applied to two! I am currently finishing my MFA and could only handle that many applications. I am into multi-genre work, so I applied to Utah and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
