Waitlisted for CUNY's ethnomusicology program. Apparently they had a much larger applicant pool than usual. Now I'm just hoping for a spot to open up ?

applied to one school for phd in ethnomusicology, had an interview, so now im just waiting on the results ???

Just got accepted into Northwestern's MM Musicology program

Yeah I'm thinking their Master's admissions is different. Their website says master's applicants should hear back in March (and it seems like none of the other master's applicants have heard back either). So any time now. NU is pretty high on my list. BU is about number 3, but I'm (of course) still very happy with it. I get some funding too, which is always nice.

Aaaaaand an hour later I just got notified that I've been accepted into Boston University

Just got a rejection from MSU and the other day I saw on Boston University's website (the the school of fine arts' website) that they aren't even accepting anyone for Musicology for the 2018-19 school year :/ I guess I just have to wait on Northwestern MM program :/

No updates yet! Still waiting it out. The only school I've heard back from is University of Toronto. I'm hoping that this means that they still like me enough that they don't want to say no yet lol. I'm hoping I get results back within the next two weeks tbh

I wouldn't really call it an "interview" but they were definitely trying to get a better idea of my interests, the call lasted for about 20 minutes or so. I ended up giving the prof that I spoke to some music recs. I'm not sure how many they accept though.

Anyone hear back from Boston University's musicology department yet?

Hey all I've been watching this thread for a while but finally gave in and made an account lol The wait has been killing me tbh, I've applied to 6 schools. Got a rejection from U Toronto yesterday, had a chat with a prof from Northwestern yesterday and he said "we're very interested in your application," and I visited MSU a couple weeks ago (they invited me, i met 4 profs and a bunch of grad students, visited with going to lunch with 3 profs and a current student). However, no official acceptances yet and the wait is killing me. (applying to musicology programs, two PhD programs and the rest are masters. I applied to Northwestern's PhD and MM program, the phone call i had was about the MM)
