    Hi guys, what do you think about the civil engineering program at JHU. I have received offer with fellowship from JHU and admission from UT Austin. The POIs in both universities are quite awesome. I don't know how to choose. the ranking for JHU was 20th in 2017 and 31st in 2018. It seems that the CE group in JHU is quite small.

    @whitbeeThank you so much for your information about UT Austin. How did they say about funding? Will most of the admitted Ph.D. students receive financial support? I am in the Structural Engineering group, where very few newly admitted students would receive funding before enrollment. So I am not quite optimistic about receiving financial support.

    I got a Ph.D. admission from UT Austin on Feb 3, but have not received any information on funding. My track is structural engineering. Which track are you in? Did you have any interview? The type of your financial aid is TA or RA? Appreciate your reply in advance.
