Or there could just be no award in the first place?
There's definitely a lot that can be improved in academia, but waiting an extra week for an award decision has little practical effect on anyone, unless you let it.
Edit: I should say though, never receiving a notification at all is pretty rude. But they did say business closing hours Friday and the day is not over.
But she may just be saying that due to high call volume and not really knowing what's going on. And it seems like a lot of people haven't received anything.
Automatic email from ndsegf:
"We are planning to send ALL selection and non-selection information by COB next Friday, April 13. Before this time, we will be unable to provide application feedback.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
-The NDSEG Fellowship Team"
COB stands for close of business. So assume by sometime tonight (don't know which time zone they're deciding from....).
Yes, good luck to everyone! :-)
Everyone, be sure to post when you receive an email!
(Okay, now I'm going to be hitting the refresh button on this thread way too often!)
So, there are two things that seem a little conflicting:
"Graduate Students (1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year)"
"Pre-Doctoral Students (1st year, 2nd year)"
So, does this mean PhD students who have completed their 2nd year and have not received a masters are still eligible (3rd year Graduate Student)? But wouldn't that put them as a 3rd year pre-doctoral student and make them ineligible? A bit confused here.
