  1. So, my degree (Bachelors) is not technically in Chemistry but rather an Interdisciplinary degree where I minored in Chemistry. If I applied to graduate school to study Organic Chemistry, would I be at a disadvantage? Would I need to take more upper-level Chemistry to compensate? I know the general application process involves taking the GRE, having research experience and applying, which I will do and have, but is earning an acceptance feasible?
  2. I know I’d enjoy earning a PhD in organic chemistry but I’m just clueless as to what I’m doing. I just graduated in December, applied to other things and this proved unsuccesful. I guess I’m just trying to figure out how one applies to chemistry graduate programs and what I should be doing now. I thought medical school was my road but I applied, got rejected and realized I still love pure chemistry. In addition, why does it seem like getting letters of reference is so hard?
