I majored in something completely unrelated to psychology and was looking for a way to eventually make myself competitive for a PhD in social psychology - would Columbia's Psychology Certificate help with this? And does anyone know how competitive it is to gain admission into this program for someone with minimal research experience? I'm Canadian, so not sure how much more difficult that makes things. I was also looking at UC Berkeley's post-bac psychology program, if anyone has thoughts on that. My concern is being able to get into one of these psych post-bac programs as a Canadian student, and if I can do anything to improve my chances.
