  1. Hi! Thank you so much for this. Idk why I didn't get the notification that someone applied to this post. Sorry! For those who are curious about the "course" offered by the Cambridge Press, well, it is not a course but you pay for tutoring. I thought there would be recordings and then assignments, yet they only give you a guidebook and assign you a tutor. You read their textbook with the instruction of the guidebook, answer the questions listed in the book, then you submit your answers to your tutor. Though the tutor is responsible, the "course" is not worthy of the money.
  2. Hi folks! I'm looking for online Latin/Greek courses and was interested by the Latin Literature classes offered by the Cambrdge Press. https://www.dl.cambridgescp.com/dl_course/latin-literature-prose They seem to offer recorded sessions and a tutor who you can contact and ask questions to. The participant can get a certificate after finishing the course and an exam. Did anyone attend the course? Or what do you guys think about it?
  3. Thanks for sharing! But the pdf is not available...
  4. Thanks! Indeed Prof. Kleiner is one of the reasons why I applyed to BU. Struggling :/
  5. You are right. My only concern on accepting this offer is the cost. There is no such institution in my country that can provide professional training on Art History, so a gap year and reappying may not be a wise choice for me either. I guess I'll just keep waiting for a while to see the results of other schools. Could go to a public school in the end.
  6. Hi everyone, I was admitted to BostonU's MA pogram. It would be a great fit for me since I am specilizing in Roman art. Yet the incredibly expensive tuition and living expenses in Boston are really discouraging, and at this moment I do not have a better offer. What do you guys think? And anyone knows something in detail (like, if the professors there are helpful or not)? I would appreciate if you could PM me. Thanks a lot!
  7. Also applied to Tufts and Hunter, no email yet (and the portal has not been updated) Anyone know if the acceptance will all be sent out this week?
  8. Hello every one, I am new here. I am currently a junior student majoring in advertisement, but I have been thinking about applying for art history programs for long (prefer Greek/Roman Art, or Ranaissance, Baroque). So I registered some public elective courses in the related field, like the History of Chinese Gardens, Visual Art, etc. As I was looking around in the forum, I saw someone applying for the 18 Fall says that he was rejected probably because he barely took upper division courses, despite that he has 2-3 years of working experience in a museum. This makes me feel more worried about myself. I am also learning online, so I wonder whether the online courses can do any help in explaining my passion or eligibility. As to the GRE, I do not specifically worry about it. But I doubt to what extent will it help me? Say that I get V165, AW4.5 or 5, will this score greatly improves my chance of being accepted by a comparably good program? Thanks for your help!
