I am thinking of applying for PhD in finance in US. As an international student, I am very worried I might fail to get a job in a university after my PhD. So my questions are... 1. How often does it - finance PhD failing to get a job in universities- happen? 2. What are some other options if that happens?

I am applying for a finance PhD in the US. But as an international student, I am still very worried about what will happen if I fail to get a job in universities after PhD. (most times, there are even fewer jobs in my home country than US) 1. How often does it -finance PhD failing to get a job in universities- happen? 2. What other options do people (especially international students) usually have when that happens? (Given they plan to stay in the US after PhD)
