  1. I have applied to the New School and Pratt Institute in New York. While they do not have any minimum required GPA, I feel anxious because my GPA from under grad is VERY low (1.6...). I wonder if it would help if I sent them a mail with my upper secondary grades, where I have around 3.7/4.0 GPA, to indicate that I possess the ability of performing on top, or will this rather make me seem desperate and have a negative impact on my application? Note that this mail will be sent a couple of week after my application was submitted. Thank you!
  2. Hi, My girlfriend recently got a great job in NYC which will go on for 2 years (we live in Sweden otherwise). Therefore, I want to attend a grad school i NYC starting in January, partly because I believe that me & my GF will not be able to manage to years separate from each other, and of course also because it is a great opportunity to proceed further education. I hold a BSc in Business Administration from one of Sweden's top business schools, and I have work experience from a venture capital internship and my currently job as an investment banking analyst (a total of 2 years work experience). The issue: - My undergrad GPA is REALLY low. I got my internship and investment banking position thanks to having a great network. - Due the investment banking work load, I won't be able to take GMAT or GRE prior to applying for January enrollment. Now to the question, what kind of grad school in NYC would you advice me to apply for? I have already applied for finance at New School, data analytics at Pratt Institute and music technology at NYU Steinhardt (I am a quite good music producer & and general creative person). Do you believe I have shot of getting into those grad programs? None of them has stated a minimum GPA level, nor a need for giving GRE scores. Are there more NY grad schools that you would recommend (business, technology, music or information) me to apply for? I would deeply appreciate every answer I get. Thank you so much. Best regards
