  1. Thanks for pointing it out but this program actually asks for unofficial transcripts from your primary institution only until you've been admitted.
  2. Hi, I'm new too so please wait for advice from more seasoned people, but I think you just gave a very strong case for grad school. You had eh grades because you were missing a direction, which you found, which can be supported by the field work and online classes. You have a professional project/passion and you actually have evidence for your narrative. When you apply, it's okay to explain where you're coming from but I would avoid dwelling too much on your anxiety and insecurities -- nothing wrong with that, but your SOP should be more about how you're striving to be where you want to be and how you're doing it. On a separate note thanks for sharing, late teens/early twenties can be dark.
  3. Hello, My undergrad final GPA was of 3.22 but it would be about 3.6 if it accounted for the classes I've taken abroad -- at a Chinese school with strict standards, so not just easy As. I'm applying to Columbia for grad school, I'm not over-qualified by any means, so I don't want to leave anything to chance. I'm very tempted to make a small annotation on my unofficial undergrad transcripts, which list the classes abroad after the list of classes I've taken in the U.S. and my GPA. Should I do it? Is it going to look like I'm making excuses / unprofessional? Thanks
