I'm applying to 9 programs, 5 of which are PhD (CS undergrad). Is this normal in CS? Also, is there a thread here for discussing chances?

I'm applying to CS PhD programs, but some Masters programs as a backup. I have only a few months of research experience, but no papers to speak of. Fingers crossed! -
I scored 730/990 (66%ile) on my Mathematics Subject Test. I'm a CS undergrad, applying to CS PhD programs. How good is this score? My intention with the test was to prove through a standardized test that my math background is strong.
