Thank you! I'm really not sure, sorry! They asked for me to email back to organize interview weekend travel plans by the 18th if thats any indication? The email said "placing you in a highly select group of interviewees from more than two hundred candidates" so maybe they sent out priority interview invites (please dont take that the wrong way, see below*) first and are waiting to see who accepts the invite from that group to send out a second round? I have no idea though. From what i can gather from gradcafe results, in some years they've sent out more than 1 wave of interview invites and in others they haven't so your guess is as good as mine. *if it makes you feel any better, I wrote my honors thesis on the representation of eye movement cues and theres like, 4 PIs (including someone who was in the same PhD lab as my undergrad thesis advisor, they're still super close) there that study eye movement cues which is crazy niche so if there is some sort of "priority invite round" system that's probably why i was in it since my background fit so unusually well. Don't get discouraged!

So i got a reply from the admissions director what i said in my email: "I also applied to CNAP, and was wondering if there was any coordination in the admissions/interview process between the two programs. Would it be best to wait until I (potentially) hear back from them before committing to the Neurobio interview weekend for any reason? I'm sure its relatively common to apply to both programs, so please let me know if you have any more information about what applicants in similar situations have done in the past." the reply: "I will check in with CNAP to see where your application stands with them. In the meantime, please proceed with scheduling your visit with LaDonna. I look forward to meeting you in January." So yes, its separate invites with separate weekends. I'll let you know if i get more info from him once he talks to CNAP. good luck!

I think so based on what I can tell from previous years. I was planning on asking about CNAP in my reply to them so I'll let you know if they tell me anything

no Penn interview which im super bummed about but just as I was starting to wallow i got a Duke Neurobio interview (Jan 24-26) so the PhD gods must've known I needed good news

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but I sent my GRE scores back in October and it always said "received" so I don't think I could be of much help. Sorry!

Hey! I do an amalgamation of sensory neuro/cognitive neuro/comp neuro stuff. Nice to meet you all. My list is: UPenn (Neuro), Carnegie Mellon (Psych/Cognitive Neuro), UMD (NACS), Harvard (SHBT--speech and hearing bioscience and technology), UW (Speech and Hearing Sciences), Duke (Neurobiology), Duke (CNAP), Vanderbilt (Neuro), and Albert Einstein (Biomed umbrella). I already got an interview at UMD NACS (neuroscience and cognitive sciences) which im stoked about cuz they're top notch in auditory neuro research. yay! I've had extremely promising skype convos with POIs at every program I applied to so I'm currently trying to tone down any false hope that might've given me oof. Interview I want the most is probably UPenn because their program seems to emphasize happy grad students which is awesome. That's also the one I'm most nervous about getting cuz my POI there said getting an interview there can be kind of a crapshoot. Praying good news comes to my inbox tomorrow (shout out to Maya for the inside scoop on that).

In your email, did they offer you the option of both their interview dates? I'm annoyed right now cuz apparently my top 3 all have the same freaking interview weekend (2/14-2/16), Penn included, so im praying they give you the option to choose the January date
