For those of you that are still waiting to hear back, I was told by a reliable source (POI) that all admits were released on the 4th. I already moved on and decided to go somewhere else. Good luck to everyone in this thread and I hope you end up in a good Ph.D. program
After discussing it with @shrek12, it looks like MTL/RLE admissions differ from CSAIL/LIDS. If you look it up online, you will notice that they recently donated $1B to create a College of Computing. This might have affected admissions in one way or another.
There should be another wave for EE. I know several strong EE candidates that did not hear anything back but heard back from Berkeley/Stanford including myself.
No way! That's definitely someone trolling. They haven't made any decisions as you can see from the calendar link I posted. Wait until the end of February at most.
BTW they don't usually interview people from electrical engineering (e.g., applied physics, semiconductor devices, etc.). Most of the interviews are done for CSAIL and LIDS (CS fields).

Look at January and February. It shows both Visit Days and Admission Committee Meetings.
I think they are meeting this Monday to sort out admission related stuff according to the EECS calendar. Visit days are on the week of February 25. I am assuming results should come out in less than two weeks. If not this upcoming Friday, then we will have to wait until the 6th (based on last year's results).
