I have received an email from UW-Madison grad school asking me to show funding for I-20. I was wondering what are the deadlines for sending these documents. And will I get to know anything about TA appointment before that time?

@ray92 I am new to the Apri 15 resolution thing and didn't quite understand it clearly. I have accepted the Wisconsin offer thinking I will be able to change it until April 15. But the portal is not allowing me to change it and I am confused about its implications. Will other universities get to know about this and take this into account while making their decisions? If I get any better offer with funding will I be able to accept it and what is the process for that?

Can someone please help me with the no guaranteed funding acceptance into cs phd at wisconsin? Do they decide on RA/TAship before final admissions? What are other folks doing with similar acceptances?

The current email is from the chair of cs dept, which tells they have recommended for admission to the grad school. I am not sure about how and when do they decide on RAship and assign research advisors. Is there anyone who could throw some light on the process followed by UW-M?

What are the implications of getting this offer and should I accept it? They also mention most of the grad students without guaranteed funding do get TA/RA ship which covers tuition fee, stipend, and health care. When should I look for TA/RA position? Can I avoid paying first semester fees?
