Ugh, same. Where's the letter they usually send with it? Odd that the rejection would be there without the usual correspondence.

For any US/Canada folks applying for the graduate scholarship for all academic disciplines: The NY office told me they hope to send out notifications by mid-April. As background, I called to make sure I could book vacation plans this spring/summer without suddenly not being able to make an interview, orientation, etc. (That would suck, wouldn't it?) The woman who answered the phone told me no, since there are so many USA/Canada applicants that it's not feasible, and that they hope they'll get results out before mid-April.

I also applied for that. I think you should have gotten a message in the DAAD portal with this information about this. Mine said that I had submitted all required documentation and so am officially under consideration, and that the selection committee convenes in March; as a rule, they would send out results within a few weeks of that happening. So, basically late March or early April is the best guess we have.
