Does anyone have any idea about the taxes on stipends? I am an international student so don't know much about US tax. I've been accepted to U of M and am planning on accepting but would love to know how much of the $32,000 yearly stipend will be eaten up with tax??

I've been waitlisted (so not an admit). I have an MPH from BU with a 3.5 GPA, a law degree and masters in law, 2.5 years research experience and 2 papers published (one first author).

I applied to: UPenn, Michigan, U of Rochester, WashU, BU, Brown and Columbia. Interviewed: UPenn, Michigan Rejected: UPenn, BU, Columbia Waitlisted: Brown Accepted: U of Rochester Still waiting: Michigan, WashU I have a law degree (LLB) and Masters (LLM) both from New Zealand (I'm an international applicant) and an MPH fro BU (GPA 3.53). I have 2.5 years research experience and have published two papers, first authored one.

I got rejected from Columbia (SMS) though didn't get invited to interview.
