She is American. She didn't end up going to SFU but told me that was her offer. A current SFU student told me there's also opportunities for TA and RA positions. I guess we'll have to ask as soon as we get our official letters! Keep me posted and good luck!

Hi! I am American, so yes, I am also super concerned about funding! From my understanding, no, they don't do a visitation weekend. I am flying out there the second week of March to check out the campus. I have a friend who got accepted last year and she was offered $17,000 but Vancouver is a really expensive area. I've also heard that you can get TA or RA positions on top of the stipend, but I'm unsure if Canadian citizens have priority.

To anyone accepted to Simon Fraser University, have you received an official letter from GPS (Graduate and Post Doc Studies)? I have not heard about funding/information on how to accept/decline their offer...
