  1. Thank you for your insights and congrats again on the funding, I'd be there in a heartbeat ... So, are you applying for the student housing? I guess I wasn't really clear... I hope they come back to me by the 15th, but I fear they will not... So worst case I will pay the 1000CHF and then have to bail sounds horrible ... I guess I'll see what the admissions says, I wrote them an email.
  2. Thanks for your advise! Its good to hear that 450 is possible- How do they then arrive at estimates for at least 1800 CHF per month? As I am EU citizen and fairly poor I would not have to pay anything for Sciences Po, so that would be the better move. On the other hand, I do think that Geneva has the better program and faculty for what I want to do, but I might not hear back from Paris until the 15th of April, so I would have to gamble. Its complicated Are you completely set on Geneva? Did you already pay the 1000 CHF and everything?
  3. So, you guys think it makes sense to go into debt for the MA in Development Studies? Still waiting for Sciences Po and Oxford, but realistically only Sciences Po could be cheaper...
  4. Also just got an offer. 3.8 from American Uni in Berlin - I am German. Didnt get any scholarship tho... Have to figure out now whether or not I can afford it ?
  5. According to the admission results of 2018 from GradCafe it seems they come on the 15th. Doesnt stop me from refreshing my mailbox every 5 min tho
  6. hey, same here. Also applied to IHEID, hope decision is coming this week
  7. As far as I know its a loan that you pay back through a certain percentage of your income (like 10 percent) as soon as your income goes above a certain threshold (like 30.000) and stops if you go below it. You have to pay for either twelve years you are actually above this threshold or 20 years overall (whatever comes first). Important to note is that the payment does not stop (as far as I know) when you paid back the money you got but only after the mentioned time periods. So if you are going to earn 100.000 later you will pay quite a bit The concept is called "Umgekehrter Generationenvertrag" btw.
  8. Got 25percent, sadly not enough for me ... hope you guys have better news!
  9. Hey guys, also just got an acceptance letter today for MPP Now waiting for financial aid...
