  1. I've only been able to get a couple of non-SLP friends to look over my statement so I would greatly appreciate it if someone with more knowledge of the field could. Thank you so much to anyone who can help!!
  2. Hi! UPitt is my dream school, but from what I gathered they don't offer many merit based scholarships (their website says they don't offer GA/TAships either). Has anyone received a merit based scholarship upon admission, or know how common it is to receive one? Would love to make it work, but can't do the 60k pricetag without a little help. TIA!
  3. hi everyone! I was wondering whether it's worth it to retake the GRE. I'm applying to some pretty competitive state schools in CA without a background in speech (currently working on post-bac), as well as a few out of states. My scores from my first time are 163V, 151Q, and 4.5 AW, but I'm worried that this won't make me stand out enough. I'm hesitant to retake since I'm already forgetting some of the material and really struggled with quant, plus I think that time might be better spent on schoolwork, SOP, etc. Does anyone have thoughts, advice, or tips? TIA ❤️
  4. Hi everyone! Does anyone have any financial aid info on MGH, e.g. how much non-loan aid is available/anyone has gotten? It seems incredibly pricey and I'm really wondering how people afford it. Info about GA/TAships also greatly appreciated. TIA!!
  5. messaged!
  6. Hi everyone, Are there any current CSULB students out there that'd be willing to answer a few questions? I want to learn more about the program (beyond their website) and I can't make it to their info session in October. All responses greatly appreciated!
  7. Thank you so much for the response! Would you mind if I PM'd you to ask a couple of questions?
  8. Hi everyone, I'm currently in the process of trying to decide which schools I'll be applying to in the fall. I'm trying to find a list of programs that have less of an educational focus and more of a medical focus, e.g. lots of partnerships with local hospitals. I'm also interested in voice as a specialty, and the only school I could find with a voice specialty track is Vanderbilt, which is a pretty big reach for me. Does anyone know of any programs with either abundant medical opportunities or some sort of voice/resonance focus? Opportunities to work with singers and speakers would be ideal. Thank you so much for any and all suggestions!
  9. Hello! Has anyone been through the USU COMMDE post-bac recently and can describe what the difficulty of each semester was like? I'm trying to figure out when the best time to take my science prereqs on the side is. Any feedback is welcome. Thank you so much!!
